Decentralize This! — Episode 23: Fabian Vogelsteller
Decentralizing Identity, Ownership, and the World of Fashion
Enigma’s podcast “Decentralize This!” features guests from all over the decentralization space: developers, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, writers, artists, people in government and enterprise — all individuals who care deeply about building a more decentralized and sustainable world. How can all these people with different perspectives collaborate to create and scale the technologies we need to shape a better future?
“What we will learn through all of these grassroots tokens, and tokenization… [is] in the end, what does that value? What we put value to.”
— Fabian Vogelsteller
Fabian is the co-founder and CTO of LUKSO, an open blockchain ecosystem for the fashion and lifestyle industry. Fabian has been a mainstay in the Ethereum ecosystem, having previously worked at the Ethereum Foundation and having built foundational products and libraries such as the Mist Browser, Ethereum Wallet, and web3js. In 2015 he proposed the ERC-20 token standard, which became the foundation for the “token economy” boom.
On Decentralize This!, we feature guests from around the blockchain and decentralization space. By taking a closer look at what prominent people are building and thinking about, we hope to find new ways to work together on creating solutions and getting these new technologies adopted at scale.
On this episode Fabian talks about the importance of open standards, how to create digital ownership and identity, and how LUKSO is bridging the digital and physical worlds to create real use cases — and adoption — for decentralized technologies, starting with the ubiquitous world of fashion.
